How Google Ads Management Pricing Works
Common Questions About Google Ads Management
What does a Google Ads agency do each month?
It reads the search terms report and adds negatives, then checks bids and budgets against the targets. It tests new ads and assets, looks at the pages the ads land on, and checks that conversion tracking still counts the right things. Then it reports what was spent, what came back, and what changed. At Komplex, a senior lead does this work and writes each change into the account history.
How much does Google Ads management cost?
There are three common models: a flat monthly fee, a percentage of ad spend, or a retainer plus a smaller share of spend. Komplex most often works on a base retainer plus a share of ad spend, and we are open to other formats if one fits you better. The fee is set after the free audit, so you pay for the work your account needs. You see the total at your planned spend before you sign.
Do you charge a flat fee or a percentage of ad spend?
Usually both, in one structure. A base retainer covers the work, and a smaller share of spend rises and falls with the account. That keeps the fee fair on a small budget and keeps us motivated as the budget grows. Ask for the total at your planned spend and we will give you one number.
Is there a minimum ad spend?
There is no minimum, but Smart Bidding needs enough conversions to learn from. A management fee only makes sense once the account is big enough to move the numbers. If your spend is below that point, we will say so and suggest one focused campaign to start, then grow it from there.
Will you run Performance Max on my account?
Only where it earns its place. Performance Max trades control for reach, and on some accounts that trade pays, mostly in ecommerce with a strong feed and clean conversion data. We run it beside Search rather than instead of it, with brand exclusions, search themes, and asset group reporting switched on. We judge it on new customers and revenue. If it does not beat the campaigns you already have, it gets paused.
What do you switch off first in a new account?
Auto applied recommendations, so Google stops changing the account without asking. Then Display expansion on Search campaigns, and location targeting set to presence instead of interest. Search partners and broad match stay on only where the data shows they convert. Each of these is a line in the audit, with what it costs you and what we changed.
How do you track Google Ads conversions?
We connect Google Ads conversion actions and GA4 events to real outcomes such as purchases and qualified leads. Enhanced conversions use hashed first party data to recover conversions that browsers block. For lead generation, offline conversion import sends closed deals from your CRM back into Google Ads, so Smart Bidding optimizes for revenue. Consent Mode is set up for traffic from the EEA and the UK.
Can you take over an account another agency built?
Yes. We audit it first and keep whatever is working, because the conversion history in an old campaign is worth more than a clean slate. Then we fix tracking, close the leaks, and rebuild the parts that need it. You keep the account and the history throughout, and your old agency’s access is removed when you say so.
Who owns the Google Ads account?
The account sits under your name with your billing details, and you hold admin access from the start. Komplex works through manager account access, which you can remove at any time. If we part ways, you keep the campaigns, the history, the conversion data, and every audit and report.
Who actually works on my account?
A senior lead sets the strategy, the structure, and the bidding decisions on every account, and stays on it. Where extra hands help, they work under that lead and you know who they are. The person who pitched the account is the person who answers for it, which is not how most agencies run.
Is Komplex a Google Partner?
Yes, and the badge means the agency holds current Google Ads certifications, meets Google’s spend threshold, and keeps its accounts above Google’s performance bar. It confirms that the people running your account know the platform. It does not guarantee results for any single account, and no honest agency will tell you otherwise.
Do you work with companies outside Austin, Texas?
Yes, most clients work with us remotely from across the US, with Austin as home base and a presence in New York City and Reykjavik. Google Ads runs the same way from anywhere, so the location that matters is where your customers search. We set campaigns up by market, whether that is one city or several countries.
