What Does A Google Shopping Agency Do?
Komplex runs this service from Austin, Texas, with a presence in New York City and Reykjavik. The stores are on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Magento, across the US and Europe, and a senior lead sits on every account.
Google Shopping For Shopify Stores, Retailers, B2B Catalogs, And Local Shops
Feed First, Then Campaigns, Then Scale
-
Audit The Feed And The Account
Titles, identifiers, categories, disapprovals, Merchant Center policy status, campaign structure, and tracking, with each fix ranked by the sales it gives back.
-
Fix The Data And The Tracking
Supplemental feeds, feed rules, and Merchant Center settings go in first, with purchase tracking and cart values verified against your order system.
-
Rebuild, Then Launch
Campaigns split by margin and intent, with priorities and negatives set. Performance Max gets its own products and its own controls, and bid targets go in before the first dollar.
-
Test, Cut, Scale
Search term reviews, feed refreshes, and budget shifts, for as long as the account runs. Products that earn get more, and products that do not get labeled and bid down.

How Google Shopping Management Pricing Works
Common Questions About Google Shopping Management
What does a Google Shopping agency do each month?
It refreshes the feed and clears disapprovals before they stack up, then reads the Shopping search terms and adds negatives. It moves bids by custom label, checks Performance Max against Standard Shopping, and reviews which products are winning auctions and which are not. Then it reports at product and category level. The senior lead on your account does this work and notes every change in the change history.
How much does Google Shopping management cost?
Two costs sit side by side: the ad spend you pay Google, and the fee for the work. The fee itself comes as a flat amount, a percentage of spend, or a retainer with a smaller share on top. Komplex most often works on a base retainer plus a share of ad spend, and we are open to other formats if one fits you better. Feed and Merchant Center work are part of the retainer, and we quote after the audit, once we know the catalog.
Is there a minimum ad spend for Shopping?
No. A small catalog can run on a small budget, though Smart Bidding needs a steady flow of sales to learn from. If your spend is below the point where a fee makes sense, we will say so. We usually suggest Standard Shopping on your best sellers first, then grow it from what those products prove.
Should I run Standard Shopping or Performance Max?
Start with Standard Shopping, because it lets you control which products bid, how much, and on which searches. Performance Max reaches further and reports less, and it will happily spend on brand searches you already own. So we give it its own products, set brand exclusions and search themes, and judge it on new customers against Standard Shopping. When it loses that comparison, it gets paused.
Can you fix a suspended Merchant Center account?
Usually, yes. Most suspensions are for misrepresentation, which means something on the site does not match what Google expects. The usual culprits are shipping times, return terms, contact details, and prices that differ from the feed. We find the mismatch, fix it on the site and in Merchant Center, and request the review. What we cannot do is promise how long Google takes or what it decides.
Why are my products disapproved or not showing?
The common causes are missing identifiers, images Google will not accept, and prices in the feed that differ from the page. Policy flags on shipping or returns come next. Sometimes the products are approved but sit in a campaign with the wrong priority or a bid too low to enter the auction. The free audit reads the diagnostics page and the campaigns together, so you get the real reason rather than a guess.
Do you work with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Magento?
Yes. Each platform exports a feed in its own way, and each needs the same fixes on top. That means rewritten titles, completed identifiers, categories set by hand, and custom labels. We make those changes in Merchant Center through supplemental feeds and feed rules. Your store stays the source of truth, and the changes survive app updates.
Do you use a CSS partner?
Only where it applies. Comparison shopping services matter in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland. There, running Shopping through a CSS can lower the effective cost of a click. For US accounts there is no CSS program and no advantage to chase. If you sell into Europe, we set the CSS question up as part of the market plan.
Can you run Microsoft Shopping as well?
Yes. The same product feed goes into Microsoft Merchant Center, and the Shopping campaigns import from Google Ads with a few settings to check afterward. Microsoft Shopping serves Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and Copilot, and clicks usually cost less. We run it as a second placement for the same catalog, with its own tracking tag and its own reporting line.
Who owns the Merchant Center and the feed?
You do. Merchant Center sits under your business, the feed is yours, and every supplemental feed and feed rule we build lives inside your account. We work through user access on your accounts, which you can revoke whenever you like. Leave, and the feed rules, campaigns, history, audits, and reports all stay where they are: with you.
Who actually works on my account?
A senior lead owns the feed strategy, the structure, and the bidding on every store, and does not hand it off after the pitch. When more hands are useful, they report to that lead, and you know their names. That is the opposite of the usual agency model, where the pitch team disappears once the contract is signed.
Do you work with stores outside Austin, Texas?
Yes. Austin is home, New York City and Reykjavik are outposts, and most of our stores work with us remotely from wherever they are. A store that ships to several countries gets a feed, a currency, and a campaign set for each market. We set the markets up in Merchant Center and report each one on its own line.
