An SEO Agency That Builds Pages Google Has A Reason To Rank
Google Has Spent Two Years Punishing Pages That Say What Every Other Page Says

What Has Changed, And What Has Not
Eight Faults We Find In Almost Every SEO Audit
Crawl Waste
Filters, tag pages, and parameter URLs that eat crawl budget while your money pages wait. We block, canonicalize, or consolidate them and confirm the change in the crawl stats report.
Cannibalized Pages
Two pages chasing the same query split the signal and both lose. We pick the winner, merge or redirect the other, and give every keyword one home.
Templated Thin Pages
Location and service pages that repeat one paragraph with the city swapped. Recent updates target exactly this. We rewrite or remove them.
Scaled AI Content
Articles produced in bulk with nothing firsthand in them. Google names this as spam. We prune what cannot be fixed and add evidence to what can.
Risky Links
Guest post farms, paid placements, and expired domain redirects, which Google now devalues at the domain level. We find them, disavow where warranted, and stop the supply.
Core Web Vitals
Slow, unstable pages lose to faster ones on the margin. We fix the template causes, images and scripts first, and confirm the field data moves.
Intent Mismatch
A service page ranking for a how to query, or a blog post ranking for a buying one. We rebuild the page to match what the searcher wants.
Tracking That Cannot Be Trusted
Search Console filtered wrong, Analytics counting internal traffic, conversions never tied to organic. We fix the measurement before we judge anything by it.

How SEO Pricing Works
Common Questions About SEO Services
Is SEO still worth it now that AI answers most searches?
Yes, for commercial searches. Roughly two thirds of searches end without a click, but most of those are questions, not purchases. A search for a service or a product still shows the classic results. The page cited in the AI answer gets more of the clicks that remain. SEO now has two jobs: rank, and be worth quoting.
How long does SEO take to show results?
It depends on the site’s age, its authority, and how crowded the term is, and any agency giving a fixed answer is guessing. New sites in competitive markets wait longest. Established sites with technical problems often move fastest, because fixing the crawl releases pages that were already earning. We show leading indicators first: pages indexed, then impressions, then clicks, then leads.
What does an SEO agency do each month?
It fixes what the last crawl found, ships the pages the keyword map calls for, and refreshes the ones that slipped. Then it earns the mentions that lift them. It reads Search Console for losses and cannibalization, checks the tracking, and reports what changed against leads rather than sessions. At Komplex the same senior lead does all of it, and every change gets logged where you can read it.
How much does SEO cost?
Retainers are the norm and the range is wide, because scope drives price. The number of pages, the amount of content, the state of the site, and the link work all move it. Audits and migrations are usually priced as projects. Our fee is separate and follows the model in the pricing section.
How do you charge for SEO?
Komplex most often works on a monthly SEO retainer sized to the work, and we are open to other formats if one fits you better. Content and digital PR are their own lines, because some sites need two pages a month and others need twenty. The fee is fixed after the free audit, once we know the site.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and no agency can, because Google decides. What we commit to is the work: the audit, the fixes, the pages, the links, and a report that shows what each one did. Guarantees in SEO usually mean a keyword nobody searches for or a tactic that draws the next spam update.
My traffic dropped after a Google update. Can you fix it?
Usually, once we know which pages fell and why. Recent core updates have hit thin templates, scaled content, and bought links hardest. We compare the pages that lost against the ones that held, find the pattern, and fix the cause rather than rewriting everything. Recovery tends to arrive with a later update rather than the next week.
Do you write the content, or do we?
Either. We write service and category pages ourselves, because they carry the keywords and the proof. Blog and resource content can come from us, from your team with our briefs, or both. What we will not do is publish bulk AI articles under your name, because Google treats that as spam and so do buyers.
Can you handle a site migration or redesign without losing rankings?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons companies call us. The plan maps every old URL to a new one, keeps the content that ranks, and sets the redirects before launch. The crawl gets checked the day it goes live. Redesigns lose rankings when SEO is invited in after the design is done.
Do you do local SEO and Google Business Profile management?
Yes. The local pack decides most leads for service businesses, and it runs on the Google Business Profile, reviews, and citations rather than on page copy. Our local SEO page covers the service, and the Austin SEO page covers the metro we are based in.
Who owns the site, the accounts, and the content?
You do. Search Console, Analytics, the CMS, and every page we build sit under your business, and we work through access you can remove at any time. If we part ways, you keep everything, including the reports and the keyword map.
Do you work with companies outside Austin, Texas?
Yes. Komplex is based in Austin with a presence in New York City and Reykjavik, and most clients in the US and Europe work with us remotely. Search does not care what city we sit in. A company with customers in two or more countries gets a plan for each, with the language and the hreflang tags handled.
