Choose The Channels, Make The Content, Run The Community, Read It Straight
-
Choose The Channels
Where your buyers already are, judged on evidence rather than on which platform is being written about. This normally means dropping one or two.
-
Make The Content
Built for the platform it lives on and for the searches people run inside it. Written and directed here, with contract designers and editors on production.
-
Run The Community
Replies, messages, and moderation on a rhythm, with an escalation route agreed in advance for the day something goes wrong.
-
Read It Straight
Reach and engagement alongside tagged traffic and enquiries, with the gap between the two stated plainly instead of bridged with an assumption.

Common Questions About Social Media Management
What does a social media management agency do?
It runs the unpaid side of your social presence. Choosing platforms, producing and publishing content, handling replies and messages, monitoring what gets said, and reporting. It is usually called organic social, to distinguish it from paid social, which buys distribution on the same platforms and is a separate purchase.
What is organic reach now?
Low, and lower than most people assume. A Facebook business page commonly reaches a low single digit share of its own followers. LinkedIn company page reach dropped sharply through 2025 and 2026 while personal profiles held up. TikTok is the exception and still surfaces content to people who do not follow you.
Does organic social actually drive sales?
Sometimes directly and more often indirectly, and any agency claiming a clean line from a post to a sale is guessing. What organic reliably does is get you found by someone searching inside the app, and survive the check people run before buying. If you need volume this quarter, that is a paid problem and we will say so.
How is this different from paid social?
Organic is content and presence. Paid is distribution. Organic works slowly and compounds; paid works immediately and stops when the budget does. The table above sets out the full split. Both are run by the same senior lead here, and our paid social pages cover the campaign side.
Which platforms should we be on?
Usually two, occasionally three, almost never five. It depends entirely on who buys from you. TikTok and Instagram for discovery led consumer brands, LinkedIn for B2B through personal profiles, Pinterest for home and visual purchases. The ranked list above explains what each still does organically.
How often should we post?
Often enough to stay in the algorithm’s consideration and not so often that quality drops, and the honest answer differs per platform. We would rather agree a rhythm you can sustain with good content than commit to a number in a proposal and then pad it. Cadence is a symptom, not a strategy.
Can we just do it ourselves?
Plenty of businesses do, and some do it well. It works when someone internal actually enjoys it and has time protected for it. It fails when it becomes the last thing on a busy person’s list, which is the usual outcome. If you have that person, keep them and buy strategy rather than execution.
How much does social media management cost?
A monthly retainer sized to the work. Most of this market prices by platform count and posts per month, which rewards spreading you across channels you should not be on. What moves our number is how many channels warrant the effort and how much video is involved. Content is scoped alongside rather than assumed inside.
Who creates the content?
Strategy, direction, and writing come from one senior lead. Design and editing sit with a small group of contract creatives, directed by that lead. You approve everything before it publishes, and the files are yours.
Do you shoot video?
No. There is no studio here and we shoot nothing ourselves. We edit material you already own, direct contract specialists when something new is needed, and plan content around what can realistically be produced. Plenty of the best performing social video is filmed on a phone by someone inside the business. We will say so if that is your best route.
Do you handle comments and messages?
Yes, and it is included rather than an upsell. Replies, direct messages, and moderation on an agreed rhythm, with an escalation route decided in advance. It is the line most often quietly dropped from a cheap quote, and it is the part customers actually notice.
Who owns the accounts?
You do, always. The social accounts, the content, the design files, and any scheduling tool subscription sit in your name. We work through access you can remove at any time. An agency that created your accounts under its own login is an agency you cannot leave cleanly, and that should never be the arrangement.
How do you report on it?
Reach, engagement, and saves alongside tagged traffic and enquiries, with the gap between the platform numbers and the business numbers stated rather than smoothed. If a month was quiet, the report says so. Reports that pad a slow month with charts waste your time and ours.
Do you work with companies outside Austin, Texas?
Yes. Komplex is based in Austin with a presence in New York City and Reykjavik, and this work happens remotely by nature. Worth knowing that local results for agency searches favour verified business profiles, so a local search strategy needs more than a social account.
